MARK STRUHSACKER-  Mark has played guitar and sung in Bluegrass bands for over 35 years.  In June of 1986, Mark created and fronted the “WDEV Radio Rangers” radio show band. Broadcasting on 96.1FM, 96.5FM & 550AM from the WDEV’S Waterbury, VT studio, The WDEV Radio Rangers perform a mix of Western Swing, old Country, Novelty and Bluegrass music. The “WDEV Radio Rangers” program has aired on regional, “heritage” radio station WDEV every Saturday morning at 10:30 since May of 1986.  The “WDEV Radio Rangers” have also maintained busy summer schedules of public concert appearances for over 25 years. Beginning in 2004, the Radio Rangers have also been featured on 93.9 WLVB FM in Morrisville, Sunday mornings at 9.  As a member of “Elisabeth vonTrapp & The Blue Train”, Mark sang the National Anthem at Boston’s Fenway Park in June 2005.

Mark is well known as one of few practitioners of the Bluegrass flat picking and cross picking guitar style in Vermont.  Performing as a solo act, he features old Folk, Bluegrass and Country songs that loan themselves well to his guitar and singing style.  He also showcases his flat-picking guitar style on traditional fiddle tunes and Bluegrass instrumentals. His acclaimed solo project “Cold Outside” was released in July 2012, and received an excellent reviews in numerous publications, including Blue Grass Unlimited Magazine.
